Trio charged in shooting
Three suspects are being held at the Tunica County jail in connection with an incident on Monday, Jan. 31.
Deputies were dispatched to a business at 2598 Old Highway 61 after receiving calls of a shooting. Witnesses reported that a silver car, either an Impala or Malibu, drove by and occupants of the car began shooting. A bystander was shot in the right leg and was taken to Baptist Hospital in Southaven for treatment.
FSA’s Robinson ready to grow in county
The Tunica County Farm Service Agency has a new Chief Executive Director.
Aaron C. Robinson Sr. was appointed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in mid-December to fill the vacant position. For the last two months, he has been hard at work serving the agricultural community in Tunica County. According to the FSA’s mission statement it will be his responsibility to serve “all farmers, ranchers, and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs for all Americans.”
