Board aims for May 1 redistricting submission
County supervisors will receive a proposed redistricting plan at their March 31 payroll meeting.
Board attorney Andy Dulaney said consultant Chris Watson had already met individually with supervisors to discuss 2010 census data released in late February.
The preliminary plan will be presented to the public in April and readied for a possible May 1 preclearance submission to the U.S. Department of Justice, after comments are received, considered and possibly incorporated into the county plan, Dulaney said.
