Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students at Tunica Academy wrote essays recently under the direction of Annette Perry.  All were themed: “My Snow Day.”

My first day I went to the levee with the Carikers and Meltons. We road 4-wheelers and sledded behind a ranger. I also snowboarded. After we left the levee, we went to Mexico Grill. The second time it snowed, my family and the Meltons went sledding at the levee. When we were leaving, we saw a bunch of Snow Geese and Trent Melton shot at them. He said he shot one. The end!

One day I woke up to 6 inches of snow! It was the prettiest sight I have ever seen! Glistening white snow and shiny icicles hanging on every house, glistening in the sun.  I woke Mom and Dad. A few minutes later, we started getting ready to go play in the white fluffy snow. We put on our mittens and coats. All warm and cozy, ready to have the time of my life. We had a snowball fight, made snow angels and made a snowman. Then we came inside and had hot cocoa.
