Tagert sees no road ahead for I-69
Northern District Transportation Commissioner Mike Tagert brought good news and bad news on his first official visit to Tunica County since he took office just over two months ago.
The good news is that the route for the new north-south corridor linking Canada, the U.S. and Mexico has been set and I-69 environmental impact studies are complete, Tagert said Monday.
“The bad news? There is no funding source today.”
Delta Council executive vice president Chip Morgan concurred.
