Local lakes reopen
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is re-opening the waters to recreational boating and fishing.
Tunica Cut-off in Tunica County and Lakeview in Desoto Countyare now open to all fishing and boating.
The following lakes will be open when the Mississippi reaches 48.0 feet at Vicksburg: Chotard, Albemarle, Airplane, Tennessee Lakes in Issaquena County.
The following lakes will be open to all fishing and boating when the Mississippi River registers 50.0 feet on the Greenville gauge: Ferguson Lake in Washington County, and Beulah and Whittington Lakes in Bolivar County.
