County maps approach to lean months ahead
Tunica County’s department heads will be asked to trim 20 percent from Fiscal Year 2012 budgets, as the county calculates the long range effect of this spring’s historic Mississippi River flood.
County administrator Clifton Johnson said in a wide-ranging interview last week that officials must find ways to cut back in some areas in order to build county resources and attract new industry and amenities.
