Carjacking suspect arrested
A Memphis man turned himself in to authorities Friday evening after he allegedly car-jacked a vehicle at a Tunica casino and evaded capture following a chase across the state line just hours earlier.
Tunica County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Cedric Davis said the suspect, identified as Yardley Lyons of Memphis, allegedly car-jacked an elderly couple’s vehicle in the parking lot of Bally’s Casino in the Resorts area of Tunica County and drove off with one of the victims in the vehicle. He said the victim was later released, unharmed, at the Tunica National Golf Course.
