More than 300 cheer CCC practical nursing graduates
More than 300 officials, faculty, family, and friends cheered 21 practical nursing graduates being honored at Coahoma Community College’s annual pinning ceremony Friday, July 15 in the Pinnacle.
Opening her keynote address, Dr. Pat Hampton told the graduating class: “Never underestimate the power of small community colleges – they are collaborating with hospitals to solve critical nursing shortages,”
“Your pin is just the beginning. It will not guarantee success; success without honor is an unseasoned dish,” Hampton,Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center’s chief nursing officer, said.“Do not let anyone define who you are; let your aim be high.Nothing is impossible – there are just degrees of difficulty.”
