Proverbs 1:1-7

There’s an old joke about a preacher who stood up in front of his congregation one Sunday morning and announced, “I’ve been so busy this week with my other duties as your pastor that I haven’t had time to prepare a sermon.  But I know inspiration can come even now.  I’ll just open the Bible to wherever my hand falls and preach on what I find.”  With that he opened his Bible to the book of Psalms and saw the word “Psaltery.”  Without missing a beat he said “Peeziltree…Now the peeziltree was a tree that grew in Moses’ back yard.”
