Cookin with The Columns: Soup's on!
This is for all you cowboys out there. Sounds like a camping recipe to me because it’s so simple to make. But this cooler time of the year always makes me want to cook soup. Make a “campfire” in your fireplace one night and sit around it eating soup for supper! Tell the kids it’s how the cowboys eat and maybe they won’t realize it’s good for them too!
1 pound cooked ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 can mixed vegetables
1 can cream-style corn
1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
Cook ground beef and onion. Drain. Mix all ingredients together and simmer for 30 minutes.
