Cookin with The Columns: Don’t be chicken
Everyone I am around lately seems to be on Weight Watchers or at least on a diet, so fried chicken sounds like the last thing they would want to cook. But this Weight Watchers recipe is very similar to another recipe that I have used a lot and it tastes very similar to “real” fried chicken. Although buttermilk sounds sinful, it is actually fat-free. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can combine a teaspoon or so of vinegar with fat-free (or regular) milk to make the same taste. Even if you are not on a diet, you will like this one.
