The spring of each year brings about national summer basketball tournaments all around the country. These tournaments bring together the best athletes in all grade divisions for roughly seven months of competitive play. These tournaments include AAU, MAYB, and USA Hoops. This year, the Tunica Mighty Lions AAU basketball players have begun making their mark in the national basketball circuit, earning the runner-up trophy at the recent Nu-Generation Run-and-Shoot tournament in Olive Branch.
