Board gets updates
Before taking up their regular agenda, county supervisors took under advisement bids for two or more trucks for the road department and heard from citizen Tony Perkins and representatives of the Tunica Museum and housing program. The apparent low bid for a bucket truck was Aerial Truck Equipment Co.’s $112,000. For one or more pick-ups, Country Ford submitted the apparent low bid of $28,986.72.
Perkins spoke eloquently in favor of the county’s proposed Second Chance Program, saying such a program “would be a real blessing to somebody like me.”
