TA Elementary fuses education, technology
“The Apple Store is great!” exclaimed an excited Tunica Academy kindergartner following a class trip on Monday, May 14.
The 16 students spent an hour and a half learning about how to operate an Ipad and use apps in anticipation of a technology wave sweeping the school in the fall. Tunica Academy Elementary Principal Dr. Gary Crowell said students in grades K-6 will have access to five in-classroom Ipads. Two carts, containing 20 Ipads each, will also be available. One cart will be shared among kindergarten, first, second and third grades and the other will be circulated between fourth, fifth and sixth grade students.
Crowell said the technology will be used in a variety of ways.
