Citizens, schools join forces
The first in a series of planned community summits was hosted by Superintendent Steve Chandler and Tunica County School District personnel on Thursday, May 24, in Rosa Fort High School’s gymnasium.
Chandler officially opened the summit by reminding attendees, “Building global leaders takes a community.”
He then presented the District’s Teacher of the Year, Celeste Maugh. Maugh teaches at Dundee Elementary School. He also introduced Parent of the Year, Marsheila Holland, whose child attends Tunica Elementary.
