The Board of Supervisors got good news and bad news with bids for paving in two areas of the county.
Memphis based contractor Lehman-Roberts was the sole bidder for jobs at Canal Park and a 2.4 mile section of Old U.S. 61. Estimates for the overlay on the old highway were lower than projected, but upgrades at Canal Park subdivisions were more than expected. County engineer Daniel Murphy reviewed both bids, before presenting a recommendation to the board.
