Proposed cut could spell beginning of the end for THS
The Tunica Humane Society is a small, nonprofit charity that has operated on a prayer from the moment we organized in August 2008. In four short years, we managed to build a wonderful facility that is recognized throughout the state of Mississippi to house and care for the many stray dogs of Tunica County. We built this shelter with our own personal sacrifices and hard, selfless work because we believe these animals deserve to have a voice and they deserve to be treated humanely. The Tunica Animal Shelter has been referred to as the “best of the best” throughout this state, but suddenly our future is in jeopardy because of proposed cuts to our already shoestring budget.
