Former Lions get playing time in Ranger victory

Former Rosa Fort High School standout athletes Ty Northern, Byron Scott and Jayson Saffold started on defense for Northwest Community College last week, with Northern leading in tackles for the Rangers with four solos and 3 assists in NWCC’s 42-21 road win over Copiah-Lincoln.
Scott added one solo tackle, 2 assists, a sack for a six yard loss, and one pass broken up, while Saffold had one solo, one assist and one pass broken up. Derrell Lovelady came in to post one solo tackle.
