Archers get the first opportunity to take a deer in the 2012-2013 season, starting Oct. 1 and continuing through Nov. 16, 2012 in the Delta zone. But there are upcoming chances for those with primitive weapons, crossbows, and guns and for youth.
Special gun seasons for youth ages 15 and under have been set for Nov. 3-4 (antlerless deer and legal bucks on private and authorized state and federal lands); Nov. 5-16 (antlerless deer only on private and open public land); Dec. 1-14 (antlerless deer and legal bucks only on private and open public land); and Jan. 18-31, 2012 (antlerless deer and legal bucks only on private and open public land).
