The Mississippi Governor’s Conference on Tourism was successfully held in Tunica the week of September 23, 2012, at Gold Strike Casino Resort. The annual conference concluded with the Mississippi Development Authority’s Tourism Division and the Mississippi Tourism Association recognizing the industry’s best and brightest, where one of Tunica’s own was honored.
Anne Coggins, Sales Manager with the Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau, was one of four industry leaders to be inducted into the Mississippi Tourism Hall Fame, the highest honor that a member of the industry can receive. The Hall of Fame awards are presented every other year and the inductee’s photos are displayed in the conference room at the state tourism office in Jackson.
