USM students set for Tunica field experience
Approximately 50 University of Southern Mississippi business students will spend Halloween being treated to a unique look at career opportunities in the casino resort industry and Tunica as a potential job market.
Students from both Southern Miss Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses, are taking part in the Tunica Field Experience on Oct. 30-31 in Tunica, Miss. The trip will feature property tours and meetings with senior executives from Harrah’s, Horseshoe, Roadhouse, Gold Strike, Hollywood, and Sam’s Town casino resorts. Leaders from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, Tunica Chamber of Commerce and Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau will be on hand to welcome the students and take them on a bus tour of the region.
