As a teenager in high school, Essie West Taylor participated in a mock business exercise that piqued her interest in the banquet and catering business.
Now as an adult, Taylor is living her dream as the owner of Get Moore Catering, which she operates out of her Jacks Avenue home.
Taylor, who grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, said her love affair with cooking began at an early age when she prepared one of her grandmother’s favorite dessert recipes for family members.
