With a four to one vote, the Board of Supervisors agreed to hire Memphis based CPA Michael Thompson to conduct an independent audit of county departments. Thompson made a presentation on behalf of his firm, Thompson CPA LLC.
In a letter addressed to the board, Thompson said he was offering his services to help Tunica County “achieve its goal of assessing the fiscal integrity of the various departments of government.”
