Board considers contract, coordinator, other concerns
The Tunica County Board of Supervisor’s agenda on Nov. 5 included a gamut of topics ranging from employment issues to appropriations. The Board recessed until Nov. 15 after two hours of discussion.
After receiving department head reports from Arena Director Steve Sosebee and county engineer Daniel Murphy, the board had appointments with Aurelia Jones-Taylor of Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Inc.
Taylor proposed a contract with Tunica County to provide inmate care and follow up appointments and estimated a cost of $40,000 to $50,000. Supervisors will amend their proposed local and private legislation with the state to change the amount to Aaron Henry from $25,000 to $75,000.
