Soldier completes special training
Army Pfc. Xavier T. Green was part of a U.S. Army Pacific task force that participated in training near Sendi, Japan with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force.
The training was part of an annual bilateral exercise between American and Japanese forces called Yama Sakura.
The exercise focuses on the development and refinement of the JGSDF and U.S. Army Pacific by exchanging ideas, tactics, techniques and experiences while building new and lasting friendships. It is one of the foundations of U.S. and Japanese defense cooperation, and is U.S. Army Pacific’s premier bi-lateral command post exercise.
