Students: be aware of FAFSA scams
Students applying for financial aid for college are urged to beware of companies that guarantee financial aid or charge a fee to assist with completing applications.

Several companies are luring students to their websites with official-sounding Internet addresses and then charging a fee for completion of the FAFSA,” noted Ann Hendrick, Director of College Planning Services for ESF Get2College, Mississippi’s nonprofit resource for free college planning assistance.
