Supervisors clash over internal audit
The county’s ongoing internal audit drew sharp disagreement among members of the Board of Supervisors last week.
CPA Michael Thompson complained to the Board that “the progress of the audit was held up due to not having access to (records of) the Tourism Development Foundation.”
Thompson said the nonprofit Foundation was “heavily intertwined with the Convention & Visitors Bureau.
