PSC: Rate payers gain bill of rights
Public Service Commission Chairman Brandon Presley announced last week that the PSC has approved a Ratepayers’ Bill of Rights to help assure customers of fair treatment by utility companies.
Presley first proposed the idea for a ratepayers’ rights measure in Mississippi in February 2009.
“We put into place in Mississippi some basic, decent and humane guidelines for how customers should be treated by their utility companies,” Presley said. “This is an historic achievement for the people of Mississippi.”
