Lions crush New Albany 28-14
“Strike first and strike hard” may be the new motto of the Rosa Fort Lions, following their 28-14 win over New Albany on Oct. 25.
“We wanted to try and get an early lead and rest some of the starters for the playoffs,” Head Coach Edwin Norwood said. “We had a couple of kids injured that we didn’t want to have to play. We had a couple of big special teams plays that allowed us to get ahead.”
The first came six minutes into the first quarter, when Lion Ken Hibbler rushed for a 25 yard touchdown to put Rosa Fort up 6-0. They missed the PAT.
New Albany countered with a drive into Rosa Fort territory. They scored on a six yard rush and successfully kicked to take the lead, 7-6.
