The recipe for this week has a sad name, but like the story, it is beautiful in the end.  It’s called Ugly Duckling Cake and has been a favorite for years for potluck dinners.  I guess the reason it has this name is that it is not the most beautiful cake, even when it is finished.  But the taste is very good, so therefore it has a happy ending.  It’s very easy to make, so next time you go to a potluck, you might want to take this cake.  But if you live here in town, just make sure everybody else isn’t bringing it too!
