Demo Derby brings top dogs to town
Citizens of Tunica County heard a rumbling sound last Saturday night as Lynn and Charlotte Henson and Top Dog Series Productions welcomed drivers from across the country to Battle Arena for their annual Southern Nationals Demolition Derby.
This year’s event was once again a huge success, as over 45 cars and drivers competed for over $20,000 in cash and trophies in front of a full house of fans.
The event hosted two separate categories with a 1980 and newer “Late Model” and 1980 and older “Old Iron” classes in addition to hosting several spectator events including a mothers’ dance competition and children’s foot races.
