Re-enactment this weekend
Vicksburg, Miss – Civil War re-enactors will conduct a winter encampment and living history demonstrations February 7-9, 2014, at Grenada Lake. The winter encampment and living history site will be located on Highway 333 north of Grenada Lake. The public is invited.
These re-enactors are a group of historians from central Mississippi and western Tennessee that will portray members of the 27th Mississippi Infantry. They will camp and live as soldiers did in the winter of 1863. These historians are celebrating 40 years in Civil War re-enacting.
