Shooting under investigation
Tunica police are accustomed to dealing with extra traffic during the town’s annual Rivergate Festival, but officers weren’t counting on a crime victim driving downtown Friday afternoon.
The woman driver was shot in the back on Beat Line Road east of Highway 61, when an unidentified suspect or suspects opened fire on her car about 4:30 p.m. April 25. The woman was able to drive herself to Magnolia Street in town, next to police headquarters.
