Born on July 12, 1921 in Poinsett County, Arkansas, Mr. Sharpe established his agricultural aviation business in Tunica County in 1947. In 1949, National Geographic chose to picture Mr. Sharpe and his airplane as representatives of the cropdusting industry in the South.
