“All’s well that ends well” may soon become the new motto for the Town of Tunica.
During the meeting of the mayor and board of aldermen on Sept. 7, officials discussed options for the water system, including a new well. Mayor Chuck Cariker, along with engineer Ed Davis, both said they felt that building a well would be the best long term solution.
Cariker said he had recently received a contract to tie into the Tunica County Utility District’s water system. According to Cariker, he and TCUD officials had decided that the town could tie in at Perry Road. When the contract came in, it stated that the town would tie in at Prichard Road instead.
