Entergy MS customers will see drop in rates
Customers of Entergy Mississippi, Inc. will soon see a drop in their electric bills, and not just because of cooler weather. The Mississippi Public Service Commission has approved Entergy Mississippi’s quarterly fuel adjustment, and customers will pay less for electricity for the rest of 2010. From October through December, the typical residential bill will drop about 12 percent.
Based on the latest adjustment, typical residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt hours will pay $87.35 per month for the last quarter of 2010 compared to $99.39 in September. That’s a difference of more than $12.00. The decrease is mainly due to a drop in fuel-related costs.
