Next phase of development lies with study
On Oct. 5, supervisors gave the official nod to a project designed to help envision new and different ways to improve the local economy.
Board attorney Andy Dulaney said the Tourism Commission had solicited and received proposals for a market analysis. They had received three proposals and ultimately selected PricewaterhouseCoopers to conduct the study.
Dulaney noted that PwC had also conducted a market analysis of Tunica County in 1999. The study and expenses will cost $110,000, with the gaming industry putting up $50,000.
