Called to Be Missionaries
Romans 10:14-15
Matthew 28:19-20

Missions and missionaries have been much on my mind lately—undoubtedly because I am taking a course entitled “The Mission of the Church,” and I have been struggling with my final paper.  Nevertheless, mission is on my mind—as it should be on the mind of every Christian.
In the passage surrounding today’s verses from Romans, Paul is discussing the condition of the Jews of his day.  For the most part they have rejected Jesus as the Messiah; but Paul says they are still God’s chosen people, and God has not—nor will not—abandon them.
