Services for Patricia Hendon Hawkins, 82, were held on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Tunica United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Maugh officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Tunica.
Mrs. Hawkins passed away on Friday,  December 17, 2010 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Southaven, Miss. She was born in Elaine, Ark.  on Sept. 22, 1928. She was a lifelong resident of Tunica County and a lifetime member of Tunica United Methodist Church, where she served as the organist for 40 years. On Dec. 28, 1951, she married Hugh Jackson Hawkins, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her only sibling, Anne Hendon Munson of Tunica.
