Con ed classes range from self defense to Ebay
With topics ranging from self defense and quilting with T-shirts to eBay selling and upholstery, the types of Continuing Education non-credit courses at Northwest Mississippi Community College run the gamut this spring, with final registration deadlines approaching quickly.
The Self Defense course will teach techniques like releases, punches and kicks in addition to how to avoid a confrontation. Students will also be trained in weapons use, home defense and defensive and evasive driving. The focus will be on awareness, prevention and successfully ending a violent confrontation. The instructor is a third degree black belt in Hapkido, has taught U.S. Special Forces in self-defense techniques for approximately 13 years and has taught numerous courses for the U.S. Government and Northwest.
