William Howell
Funeral services for William “Daddy Squeaky” Howell, 102, of Tunica will be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 18 at Zion Hill Church, 6030 Robertson Gin Road in Hernando. The former painter, decorator, fisherman and gardener died on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
He was born in Kosciusko, Miss. on Jan. 5, 1909 to Sie and Ellen Howell. He was a dedicated husband for 35 years to Irene Leonard Howell, until her death in 1995.
He would always say, “I’m still kicking, but not too high.” Now, he is stepping high with the Lord.

He is survived by five children: Edgar Williams, Deloris McGrath, Dorothy Johnson, Ruthie Tanner, and Lizzie James; four sisters in law; a very special nephew, Charles Howell (Lizzie); a loving niece and caregiver, Mary Anna and John Moore and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be at held at Henderson Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m.
