Reprint of Embassy introduces Russell to next generation


Tunica author and journalist, the late William “Billy” Russell, was living and working in Berlin, Germany, at the outbreak of World War II. Then just 24 years old, he witnessed the run-up to the conflict in 1939 and early 1940, before leaving Germany and writing his memoirs of that time in a nonfiction work, Berlin Embassy, originally published by E.P. Dutton in 1941 and long out of print.
The book has recently been reissued in paperback by Carroll and Graf Publishers of New York, an imprint of Avalon Publishing Company, and is now available on Amazon.
