GTA cranking up car plant construction
A long-delayed plan to manufacture electric cars in Tunica County is shifting into high gear, according to a news release last week by the company.
On July 17, GreenTech Automotive (GTA) officials announced the start of the primary building phase of the project.
“After more than a year of planning, testing and site preparation, we are excited for GreenTech’s permanent home to start taking shape in Phase 2,” said Charles Wang, GreenTech chairman and CEO.
Tunica tops travel list
Tunica has just topped the list of the “Seven Most Beautiful and Underrated Cities and Towns in the U.S.”, compiled by EscapeHere’s Angela Nightingale.
The web site calls Tunica “a surprisingly fun city.
“Home to at least nine casinos, Tunica has a risk and spice of a typical gaming town. There is more to this little known spot than gambling, however. The city has four-star golf courses, gorgeous hotels and several popular nightclubs, including a variety of famous blues clubs,” Nightingale writes on July 9.
