Inaugural run helps son, soldier live on
The memory of one of Tunica’s fallen sons will be honored next month during a community run that will assist other military-minded individuals pursuing their educations.
The first-ever Enduring Freedom Run is an event established by the family of slain Army PFC Brandon Dawson and the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, and will take place along a roadway in eastern Tunica County that was dedicated to the memory of the serviceman, who died in Afghanistan on September 24, 2010.
