School system is fraud target
The Mississippi Bankers Association issued a fraud alert bulletin to its members on March 11, after multiple counterfeit checks on a Tunica County School District account were cashed at First Security Bank locations in DeSoto and Panola counties.
The checks ranged in amount from $3,500 to nearly $5,000, according to the release.
