Services for Ira Terrell Phillips Jr., 20, were held at Holly Grove M.B. Church in Crenshaw, Miss. with Pastor Jesse Jossell officiating. Burial followed in Askew Grove Cemetery in Longtown, Miss.
Mr. Phillips died March 28, 2011. He was born Dec. 11, 1990 to Kim T. Strickland and Ira Terrell Phillips Sr. in Batesville, Miss.
He was brought up in church and was baptized by Pastor Jossell at Holly Grove M.B. Church, where he was promoted through the ranks of Sunday School. The last position he held was secretary of the adult class. He was also a choir member.
