USDA official to tour MS flood areas
USDA Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager will travel to Mississippi on Thursday to see flood damaged areas in Mississippi, and will also see similar areas in Louisiana and Arkansas.
While in Mississippi, Tonsager will travel with Mississippi’s USDA Rural Development State Director Trina George and other local and federal officials. George last week mobilized her state’s USDA Rural Development offices in preparation for a quick response to any damage caused by the massive floods.
