Wildlife officials: fawns ok without human interference
With the official start of summer, white-tailed deer fawns begin appearing in Mississippi. The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks advises people to leave fawns alone.
“In late June we begin receiving many calls and reports that someone has found a fawn” said MDWFP Deer Program Biologist William T. McKinley. “We always tell people the same thing - Leave the fawns alone.”
