Cookin with The Columns: A solution for a sweet tooth
This past Sunday afternoon I just wanted something sweet. Do you ever have that need?
Anyway, I had bought some cake mix on sale at the grocery store. So I made these cookies and they are the easiest cookies ever.
While I was making them, I was thinking of all the ways I could change the recipe. You could use chocolate cake mix and add peanut butter chips or nuts. You could use lemon cake mix and add coconut. Or how about yellow cake mix and chocolate chips or spice cake mix and add raisins. I used strawberry cake mix and sprinkled sugar on top (you could do the same thing with orange).
Anyway, let your creative side show and try out these simple-to-make cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.
CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 box cake mix (any flavor)
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 stick margarine
1 egg
Mix all together and drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
