Historic flooding from the Mississippi River wreaked havoc on the casino and tourism industry of Tunica County during the month of May. Even as floodwaters inundated many of the area’s gaming centers, however, plans were already underway to initiate expected repairs to minimize damage to the region’s financial infrastructure.
Area businesses didn’t have to look far for critical electrical repairs. Since October of 1995, Gephart Electric has been a fixture on the Robinsonville landscape. Ironically, the nationally known company had showcased its 3,000 square foot office renovation to business leaders and customers a scant two weeks before the waters came.
